Browsing Events

Events has four views, each suited to a different way of looking at your schedule and history.

Home tab​

The Home tab gives you a curated look at what's coming up:

  • Featured event — the next upcoming event that has a cover photo, shown as a large hero card
  • Weekly events — the next 7 days as a compact card row, one card per day
  • Coming up — events beyond the next week as a list
  • Milestone event — the next event in your schedule that has a photo attached, highlighted separately

Use the Home tab as your daily glance — what's happening this week and what's on the horizon.

Collection tab​

The Collection tab shows all your events — past and future — in a searchable, filterable table.

Search — matches against title, description, and location in real time.

Category filter — a dropdown to show only events in a specific category. Useful when you want to see only your Work events, or only Social ones.

Each row shows:

  • Event title
  • Date and time
  • Category badge (color-coded)
  • Location

Tap any row to open the full event detail page.

Timeline tab​

The Timeline tab shows events as cards in chronological order, split into two groups: Upcoming and Past.

Each card displays:

  • The cover photo (if the event has one)
  • Title, date, and time
  • Location
  • Category badge
  • Attendee avatar stack (up to 3 shown, with a +N indicator for more)

This view is best for browsing your history visually — scrolling through past events with their photos gives a much richer sense of your archive than a table.

Search and category filter are available here too, so you can narrow the timeline to a specific type of event or keyword.

Daily tab​

The Daily tab shows a single day as an hourly calendar grid — a traditional day planner view.

  • All-day events appear in a section at the top
  • Timed events are positioned on the grid based on their start and end time
  • Overlapping events are displayed in side-by-side columns so nothing is hidden
  • Navigate between days with the previous/next buttons

Use the Daily tab when you want to see how a specific day was structured, or when planning a day with multiple events.

Common questions​

I have a lot of past events. How do I find one from a year ago? Use the Collection tab search bar with a keyword from the title, description, or location. Or use the category filter to narrow to the right type, then scroll.

Which view should I use most? Home tab for daily/weekly awareness. Timeline tab for browsing your history visually. Collection tab for finding a specific event quickly. Daily tab when you need an hourly view of a single day.

Can I see all events for a specific person? Go to that person's profile in the People section. Their Shared History shows all events you've tagged them on, with links to each event.
