Finances

Finances is a budgeting and financial tracking hub — a single place to see your income, fixed costs, subscriptions, savings, and debts together. The goal is clarity: knowing exactly where your money goes and how your trajectory looks over time.

How it works

The Finances section has four tabs. Each covers a different aspect of your financial picture:

What you can track

Income — add one or more income sources with a monthly amount, label, and effective date.

Fixed costs — regular monthly expenses (rent, utilities, groceries, insurance, healthcare, transportation, etc.) organised by category.

Subscriptions — recurring services with name, cost, billing cycle, and active/inactive status. The tab shows your total monthly and annual subscription spend.

Savings accounts — track balances over time with snapshots. A growth chart shows how balances change month to month.

Debts — loans and credit balances with interest rate, monthly payment, and optional extra payment. Terra calculates a projected payoff date for each.

What you can do

  • Add, edit, and delete entries across all four tabs
  • Toggle subscriptions active or inactive without deleting them
  • Log debt payments to track what you've paid down
  • Record savings balance updates to build your growth history
  • See the 50/30/20 budget breakdown — how your spending compares to the recommended needs/wants/savings allocation
