Tracking Progress

The Goals page gives you a snapshot of your active pursuits. The Progress page goes deeper — stats, category breakdowns, and a milestone view organized by urgency.

The Goals page

Your active goals appear in two sections:

  • Spotlight — the goal furthest along gets an expanded card at the top with its full description and a progress bar. This changes as your goals advance.
  • Active Aspirations — the rest of your active goals in a grid. Each card shows the title, description preview, priority, tags, milestone count, and progress ring.

Below those, Recently Manifested lists your completed goals in order of most recently updated.

Progress rings

Every goal card shows a circular progress ring that fills as you complete checklist items and milestones. The color indicates how far along you are:

  • Green — 75%+ complete or fully completed
  • Amber — 50–74% complete
  • Default — under 50%

Stats tiles

Four numbers at a glance:

  • Active goals — count of Not Started + In Progress + On Hold
  • Completed goals — total goals marked Completed
  • Average progress — mean completion % across your active goals
  • Overdue — goals with a passed target date not yet marked complete

Status distribution

A horizontal bar showing the proportion of all your goals by status — how much is active vs. completed vs. on hold. Useful for seeing whether your goals list is balanced or whether things are piling up in one state.

By category

A chart of your top goal tags showing which areas you have the most goals in. If Health and Career dominate while Learning has one entry, that's visible here.

Milestones by urgency

The Progress page organizes all your outstanding milestones into buckets based on their target dates:

BucketCriteria
OverdueTarget date passed, not yet complete
This WeekDue within 7 days
This MonthDue within 30 days
LaterDue further out
No DateNo target date set
CompletedFinished milestones, shown for reference

Use this view to make sure you're not ignoring a milestone that's slipping past its date.

Filtering on the Goals page

Use the filter controls to narrow your view:

  • Status — show only goals in a specific status (all statuses, or pick one)
  • Priority — show only High, Medium, or Low priority goals

By default, Archived and Abandoned goals are hidden. Select those statuses explicitly if you want to see them.

Common questions

My progress ring isn't moving. Why? Progress is based on completed checklist items and milestones. If your goal has no checklists or milestones, there's nothing to calculate. Add at least a basic checklist to start tracking progress.

A goal is 100% but I haven't marked it Completed. Does that matter? Progress percentage and status are separate. You can have a fully-checked checklist without changing the status. When you're satisfied the goal is genuinely done, change the status to Completed — it moves the goal to the Recently Manifested section and captures a completion date.

How do I find goals I abandoned months ago? Use the Status filter on the Goals page and select Abandoned. Your abandoned goals will appear and you can reactivate or delete them.
