Passport & Map

Two of the Parks tabs turn your visit history into something visual and navigable — the Passport and the Map.

Passport tab​

The Passport tab shows your park visits as collectible stamps, organised by category (National Parks, State Parks, Wilderness, etc.). Each category has a count of how many parks you've logged in it.

This is the most satisfying view for tracking your outdoor progress over time — it makes the collection aspect of park visiting tangible. As you add new parks, new stamps appear.

Collection tab​

The Collection tab shows all your parks as a standard grid — poster image, name, category, state, rating, and visited date. Filter by category or state, or sort by visited date and rating to find specific entries quickly.

Map tab​

The Map tab shows an interactive map of all US National Parks. Parks you've visited are marked distinctly from ones you haven't. This gives you a geographic view of where you've been and where gaps exist.

Tap any park on the map to see its name and your visit status.

Missing parks​

The Parks section tracks which US National Parks you haven't visited yet. Open the Missing view to see the full list of unvisited parks. This is useful when planning trips — if you're going to a region, you can see which nearby parks are still missing from your passport.

Stats on the Home tab​

The Home tab shows headline stats for your parks:

  • Total park visits logged
  • National Parks visited count
  • State Parks visited count
  • Your three most recent explorations as cards

These update in real time as you add new parks.

Common questions​

Does the Map show State Parks too? The map currently focuses on US National Parks. State parks and other categories appear in the Passport and Collection views but not on the map.

What counts as a "visit" for the National Parks tracker? Any park entry you add with the category set to "National Park" and a visited date counts. The tracker compares your list against the full catalogue of official US National Parks to determine what's missing.

Can I filter the Passport by state? The Passport is organised by category. Use the Collection tab and filter by state to see parks from a specific location.
