Logging Dates

The Dates tab is where you record the time you spend together — outings, dinners, activities, or anything else you do as a couple. Over time it becomes a searchable archive of your shared experiences.

Adding a date entry

Tap the + button or the add option from the Dates tab.

Fields:

  • Type — the kind of outing: Dinner, Movie, Activity, Outing, Concert, Event, Sport, or Other (required)
  • Date — when it happened (defaults to today)
  • Time — the start time (optional)
  • Location — city or neighborhood (optional)
  • Venue — specific place name (optional)
  • Rating — 1–5 stars for how the date went (optional)
  • Cost — what you spent, if you want to track it (optional)
  • Photos — attach one or more photos from the outing (optional)
  • Notes — anything you want to remember about it (optional)

None of the optional fields are required. A type and date is enough to create a record.

What the Dates tab shows

Featured view — the most recent date entry gets a large hero card at the top with its photo (if you added one), type, venue, rating, and notes preview. The next two most recent entries appear as smaller featured cards below it.

Timeline — all your date entries in reverse chronological order below the featured section.

Editing and deleting

Open any entry from the featured view or timeline. Use the edit option to update any field, or the delete option to remove it. Deletion asks for confirmation.

Tips

  • Add a note even if it's short. "Really good pasta, she loved it" is enough to make the entry meaningful years later.
  • Venue name is worth filling in. Searching back for a restaurant you went to 18 months ago becomes much easier.
  • Photos make the featured cards come alive. Even one photo per entry changes how the Dates tab feels to browse.
  • The rating is for your reference, not a formal score. Use it however makes sense to you — five stars for a great night, two stars for one that didn't go as planned.
