Browsing Your Archive
As your restaurant list grows, the Archive and Cuisines tabs give you different ways to navigate and find what you're looking for.
Archive tab
The Archive tab shows your full restaurant list in a table layout with search, filters, and sorting.
Search
The search bar matches against restaurant name, cuisine, city, and notes. Type any part of a name or a cuisine type to narrow the list immediately.
Status filter
Three buttons let you filter by status:
- All — shows everything (visited, wishlist, closed)
- Visited — only places you've been
- Wishlist — only places you want to try
Sort options
- Recent — sorted by your most recent visit date (most recently visited first)
- Rating — highest overall rating first
- Visits — most-visited restaurants first
- Name — alphabetical
What each row shows
Each row in the archive displays the restaurant photo thumbnail, name, cuisine, city, your star rating, a favorite heart icon (if marked), and visit count. Tap any row to open the full detail page.
The archive shows 5 restaurants per page with pagination.
Cuisines tab
The Cuisines tab groups your restaurants by cuisine type and sorts the groups by how many restaurants you have in each (most entries first). This gives you a quick read on what types of food dominate your dining history.
Each cuisine group shows a masonry grid of restaurant cards. Cards display the poster image, your rating overlaid at the bottom right, a Wishlist badge if the status is Wishlist, the restaurant name, and city.
Use the Cuisines tab when you're in the mood for a specific type of food and want to see all your options at once.
Home tab
The Home tab features a monthly spotlight — a large hero card showing a highlighted restaurant — and a Gourmet Discoveries section with four recently added or highly rated restaurants. It's a starting point, not a complete view.
Restaurant detail page
Each restaurant has a detail page showing:
- Hero image with the restaurant name and location
- Overall rating prominently displayed
- Stats — total visit count and linked event count
- Visit history — every visit in chronological order with dates, event links, ratings, and notes
- An asymmetric info panel — cuisine category and any notes or tagline
From the detail page you can edit the restaurant, add a new visit, or delete the entry entirely.
Common questions
I have a lot of Wishlist entries. How do I see only those? Use the Archive tab and tap the Wishlist filter button. Only want-to-try places will show.
How do I find a restaurant I visited years ago but can't remember the name of? Use the search bar with a cuisine type, city, or any word you remember from your notes. The search covers notes text, not just names.
The sort by "recent" doesn't seem to match what I expect. Why? Recent sorts by the date of your most recent visit record, not by when you added the restaurant to Terra. If you added a restaurant but never logged a visit, it won't appear near the top of the Recent sort.
