Year in Review

The Year in Review is an annual retrospective of everything you've tracked in Terra. It aggregates data from every section — moods, workouts, media, parks, events, habits, journals, vacations, restaurants, and more — and presents it as a visual timeline with stats, achievements, and AI-generated insights.

How it works​

At the end of a year (or any time during one), open the Year in Review and select the year you want to reflect on. Terra pulls data from all your sections for that year and builds a comprehensive picture of how it unfolded.

If a year has no data, the page shows an empty state — come back after you've started tracking.

What's inside​

Story Mode​

A presentation-style slideshow of your year. Each slide covers a different chapter of your life with narrative text and highlights. Story Mode can be shared with others.

Timeline sections​

Each major section of Terra has its own timeline showing what you did throughout the year:

  • Mood — emotional arc across all 12 months
  • Exercise — workouts by type and frequency
  • Media — every film, book, TV show, game, and album
  • Parks — outdoor visits with dates
  • Events — gatherings and occasions
  • Journals — entries written throughout the year
  • Habits — consistency tracking
  • Vacations — trips taken
  • Restaurants — dining visits
  • Drinks — tastings logged
  • Relationship — dates and milestones
  • Tasks and Goals — what you accomplished
  • And more — Duolingo, meals, creations

Achievements​

Your unlocked achievements for the year displayed by rarity level — Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.

Stats and charts​

  • Time spent on media broken down by type
  • Monthly breakdowns by category
  • Highlight stats across all sections

AI-generated insights​

A written summary of your year's patterns generated from your actual data.

Browsing past years​

Use the year selector to navigate to any past year in your archive. Each year builds from whatever data exists — a year with only six months of tracking will show six months.

Sharing​

Year in Review includes a share option that generates a summary card you can share publicly. Sensitive data is excluded from the shared version.
